Diabetes Series Plan C — Plant-Based Anti-Inflammatory Indian Diet · Metabolic Syndrome
Language:
Calories:
Anti-Inflammatory Foods: 🌿 Turmeric 🧄 Garlic 🫚 Flaxseed 🍵 Green Tea 🫐 Amla 🌶 Ginger 🥦 Cruciferous Veg 🫘 Legumes
⚕ Protocol: Strictly plant-based Indian diet. This plan targets chronic low-grade inflammation — a primary driver of insulin resistance in metabolic syndrome and obesity-linked diabetes. Every meal includes at least one potent anti-inflammatory food.  |  Cooking Oils: Use only cold-pressed mustard oil, extra-virgin coconut oil, or cold-pressed sesame oil. Avoid refined sunflower, palm, or vegetable oils entirely — these promote the Omega-6 inflammatory cascade.  |  Spice Protocol: Turmeric (½ tsp) + black pepper (pinch) at every meal. Ginger (fresh, 1cm) daily. These combinations are bioavailability-maximised for curcumin absorption (piperine increases curcumin absorption 2000%).

Extended Medical Disclaimer — Read Before Use

This plan is an educational nutritional framework and is not a treatment protocol. Anti-inflammatory dietary strategies can complement medical management of Type 2 Diabetes and metabolic syndrome but do NOT replace insulin therapy, oral hypoglycaemic medications, or regular medical surveillance. Begin this plan only after explicit discussion with your endocrinologist or physician.

Metabolic Syndrome Complexity Metabolic syndrome involves multiple co-existing conditions. Individual components (hypertension, dyslipidaemia, central obesity) require separate medical management. This dietary plan addresses glycaemia and inflammation; it does not replace antihypertensive or lipid-lowering medications.
Moringa Precautions Moringa (drumstick leaf) may lower blood glucose. In combination with antidiabetic medications, hypoglycaemia is possible. Pregnant women must avoid concentrated moringa preparations. Consult your physician before use.
Curcumin Interactions Curcumin can interfere with anticoagulant medications (warfarin, aspirin), some chemotherapy agents, and immunosuppressants. If on any regular medication, disclose curcumin intake to your physician.
Obesity-Related Diabetes This plan is designed for individuals with obesity-linked T2DM and metabolic syndrome. Persons with Type 1 Diabetes, LADA, MODY, or secondary diabetes (pancreatic, post-surgical) have different nutritional requirements. Diagnosis confirmation is essential before use.
Weight Loss Warning This anti-inflammatory plan is not primarily calorie-restrictive. Weight loss, if needed, should occur under medical supervision to avoid rapid metabolic destabilisation. Crash dieting in diabetic patients can cause dangerous glycaemic swings.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Before commencing this protocol, regardless of your current health status or medication profile, consult a qualified physician. This document is for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.
