01Introduction & Who We Are
MMSx Authority Institute for Movement Mechanics & Biomechanics Research, Inc. ("MMSx Authority", "we", "our", or "us") operates the TrainersEye web platform (trainerseye.com) and mobile applications ("Service"). We are a US-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit research institute (EIN 41-2717794, Powell, Ohio, USA) focused on clinical biomechanics, movement science, and evidence-based health technology.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use our Service, why we collect it, how we protect it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to all TrainersEye products including the iOS app, Android app, web tools, and research platforms.
02Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data. Required data is essential for the Service to function; optional data enhances your experience but can be declined.

03Device Permissions
Depending on which features you use, TrainersEye may request the following permissions on your device:
- Camera — for real-time pose detection in TrainersEye Coach v4, MMSx-SCAN, and Clinical Screen Pro tools. Required only when you actively open these tools.
- Motion & Fitness — for step counting in Mile Tracker. You can grant or revoke this in device Settings at any time.
- Microphone — reserved for future voice-coaching features. Currently unused in Build 27.
- Notifications — for daily reminders and session updates. Fully optional.
- Photos/Storage — only when you export a PDF report or save session images.
You can revoke any permission from your device Settings without affecting access to the rest of the Service.
04How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect exclusively for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the TrainersEye Service and its tools
- To deliver personalised movement analysis, training sessions, nutrition plans, and rehabilitation protocols
- To communicate with you about your account, subscription, or service updates
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or security threats
- To conduct aggregated, anonymised research aligned with our 501(c)(3) scientific mission — only with your explicit opt-in consent
- To comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements)
We do not use your data for targeted advertising, profile scoring, or sale to third parties.
06Storage & Security
Your data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256. Access is restricted to authorised personnel under written confidentiality agreements. We conduct regular security audits and maintain incident-response procedures aligned with NIST guidelines.
07Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to deliver the Service or as required by law:
- Account data — retained while your account is active, and for 30 days after deletion for recovery purposes
- Session data (movement, nutrition, training) — retained for 24 months, then archived or anonymised
- Billing records — retained for 7 years to comply with US tax law
- Technical logs — retained for 90 days for security and debugging
You can request immediate deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8).
08Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Regardless of where you live, TrainersEye honours the following rights for every user:
- Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — request removal of your account and all associated data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable JSON format
- Objection — opt out of specific processing activities such as research inclusion
- Restriction — pause processing while we resolve a dispute
- Withdrawal of consent — revoke any consent you previously granted
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

09Children's Privacy
TrainersEye is intended for adult users (18+) and qualified health, fitness, and clinical professionals. The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete that data immediately.
Users aged 13–17 may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
10International Data Transfers
TrainersEye operates from the United States (Powell, Ohio) and India. When you use the Service, your data may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Economic Area.
For transfers from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as a legal safeguard, ensuring your data receives protection equivalent to European law.
12Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending an email notification or in-app alert.
Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
